Slate>>North Indian
    North Indian
Slate is a metamorphic rock most commonly derived from shale and composed of minerals such as micas, chlorite and quartz, oriented in parallel poistions so that the rock consists of very thin plates to permit it to be split easily into thin, tough sheets. Because it can be split so thinly, not surprisingly slate is a popular roofing material, but more unusually it can also be used as a work surface.Slates are suitable for flooring, wall cladding, fire places & stair treads and is ideal for patios, out doors steps, entrance ways, kitchens, shops & restaurants. In north India we have slates like Multicolor Peacock, Jak Black & Jak Multicolor.
