| Stone pedestals are purely for the decorative purpose. They are used for displaying statues and other artifacts. Sandstone and marble pedestals are generally carved and decorated. Greek pedestals add prominence to the sculptures.
They can be used in gardens, outdoors and indoors. They may be installed as the column supports of a fireplace mental or an artistic piece may simply be kept in the corner to give it some prominence. In a garden or an open courtyard they may be used to place statues, birdbaths, feeders or planters or kept as momentum.
