Privacy Policy
Regatta Universal Exports is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect your information when you visit regattaexports.com, contact us by email or WhatsApp, or do business with us.
By submitting information through our website forms, email or WhatsApp, you consent to its use as described in this policy. Where a form includes a consent checkbox, ticking it is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 10).
1. Who We Are
This website is operated by Regatta Universal Exports (“Regatta”, “we”, “us”), with its head office in New Delhi, India. We are the data controller (Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) for personal data collected through this website and our enquiry channels. Our business is strictly B2B: we supply importers, fabricators, architects, contractors and wholesalers.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information you give us
Your name, company name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, shipping and billing address, project requirements, and any message or file you send, when you:
- Submit an inquiry
- Request a quotation
- Subscribe to updates
b. How you reach us
We receive enquiries through three channels: the inquiry form on this website, email (info@regattaexports.com) and WhatsApp. Information sent through any of them is handled under this policy. Website form submissions are delivered by email to our management and sales team.
c. Technical and usage information
We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring page and approximate location, to understand how the website is used and to improve it.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide quotations
- Process orders and manage exports, shipping and logistics documentation
- Communicate with you about your enquiry or order by email, WhatsApp or phone
- Improve website performance, content and user experience
- Share product updates, company news and marketing communications (only with your consent; you can opt out at any time)
- Prevent fraud, spam and misuse of our website
- Comply with applicable legal, tax, customs and regulatory requirements
4. Legal Basis for Processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these bases:
- Consent: for marketing communications and non-essential cookies.
- Contract: to prepare quotations and fulfil orders you request.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to business enquiries, run and improve our website, and keep it secure, where these interests do not override your rights.
- Legal obligation: to meet tax, customs and export compliance requirements.
For users in India, we process personal data on the basis of your consent or other uses permitted under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed, with:
- Regatta Group companies and teams: our sister brands (Regatta Granites India and Regatta Tiles) and our sales and marketing teams, so your enquiry reaches the right people.
- Service providers: partners for payment processing, shipping and freight forwarding, customs clearance, IT and website hosting, email and messaging, analytics, and customer-relationship tools. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities and advisers: where required by law or to protect our legal rights, and to our professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers.
6. International Transfers
We export worldwide, and some of our service providers are located outside India. Your information may therefore be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than your own, including India. Where required by law, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as contractual data-protection clauses.
7. Data Retention
We keep enquiry and customer information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, generally up to three years after our last interaction with you. Records that tax, customs or export law requires us to keep are retained for the period the law specifies. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.
8. Data Security and Breach Handling
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access limited to authorised staff, to protect your information from unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Make the website work and enhance browsing functionality
- Remember your preferences for future visits
- Monitor website traffic and performance through Google Analytics
Where the law requires, we set non-essential cookies only with your consent. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings or through our cookie banner, where shown. Disabling cookies may affect some website features.
10. Your Rights
You may ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your personal data (subject to legal obligations)
- Withdraw your consent or opt out of marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us
- Restrict or object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format (EU and UK users)
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf (India)
Send requests to the contact details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with our response, you can raise a grievance with us (Section 14). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, such as your EU or UK supervisory authority, or the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
Our website links to other sites, including our social media profiles and sister-brand websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. Please read their policies before sharing your information.
